About Dr. James Baird
For more than 25 years, Dr. James Baird has focused on helping patients restore foot and ankle health so they can remain active throughout their lives. His approach combines medical expertise, a deep understanding of human movement, and a belief that education plays a critical role in helping patients recover and prevent future problems.
Early Interest
Dr. Baird’s interest in biomechanics and physical performance began during his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he earned a degree in Exercise Physiology within the Department of Kinesiology.
This education provided a strong foundation in how the body moves, adapts to stress, and responds to physical activity. Those principles continue to influence his approach to patient care today.
Medical Training
Dr. Baird continued his education at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago.
Following medical school, he completed surgical residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, where he gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating complex foot and ankle conditions.
